Family Counseling at St. Mary of Sorrows

No families are
perfect. We all need help from time to time with our struggles, hurts and
losses. Remember, Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted and to comfort those in
need (namely, all of us).
St. Mary's Counseling Office serves our parish families and our parish youth,
helping individuals and families to heal and to mature and grow into the
Christian people we were meant to be. Their primary mission is to facilitate
healing, growth and wholeness for those who come to them for help. Those on the
St. Mary's Pastoral Counseling staff are trained and experienced mental health
professionals dedicated to providing counseling and psychotherapy within a
context of Christian values, respect and empathy.
Appointments can be made for weekdays, evenings and Saturdays. Fees
are set on a sliding scale, set according to the financial situation of the
person or persons in need. Initial or single sessions are provided at no
charge. The counselors are located at St. Mary's Parish Center at
5222 Sideburn Rd., Fairfax, VA.
Services provided include:
· Individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents
· Marriage counseling and enrichment

· Psychoeducational programs
· Support groups
